The need for staff housing was apparent from the beginning. The Staff Lodge as it was called was ready for Summer 1980.
Staff Lodge Memories
The Lodge was built with eight sleeping rooms, an infirmary, and a lounge. Most rooms had connecting doors. It was to house the director, speaker, and all other non-counseling staff. The lounge was co-ed and really the only indoor place to gather.
Originally, each room had a window AC unit. While this helped to mask noise from adjoining rooms and allowed individual temperature, the units grew old and replacements and repairs were needed.
In the early 2000s, central AC was installed.
The Lodge Today
There have been several upgrades through the years. This is Lodge 1. as it is today.
There are plans for major renovations that includes sound proofing and at least one more room for families.
