The original sign was made by Al Thisse (Ted’s father). There have been changes to the logo, but the original logo remains on the camp sign.
Ralph VanDemark and volunteers replaced this sign piece by piece with plastic wood. The original railroad ties have never been replaced.
Photos of the sign can be dated within a few years by the grove behind it.

This is a collection of staff alumni that gatherd at the memorial for Ted Thisse. This original sign had recently been returned after being stolen 20 year before.
